    FOON has the technical solution of making sure that used cigarette filters are not thrown in nature. This is necessary as it is a great burden on the environment, animals and humans due to the content of microplastics. FOON should especially be used in places where it is not possible to dispose of the filters in an environmentally friendly way (forest, beach, cities and water). One technical problem would be getting cigarette manufacturers to integrate the FOON into their packages (see Figure 3). However, it does not require change of pack or number of cigarettes. That problem can possibly. resolved by political influence / legislation. Alternatively, the FOON can be sold separately.

    DK 2019 01097 A1 Description of “Filter out of Nature” (FOON). FOON consists of a piece of elongated material e.g. a natural recycled material such as cardboard, paper or similar, which is shaped like a C, It is used to store extinguished used cigarette filters, so you do not leave them in nature and become an environmental impact due to the content of microplastics.

    In form, this product differs significantly from FOON.
    FOON fits exactly around a cigarette in circumference and length and can be easily integrated | a pack of cigarettes, without having to redo the pack.

    There will be room for three filters in the FOON one {see Figure 3). Multiple FOON can be integrated as needed.
